EXPERIENCE
Since obtaining his Master of Planning degree in 2007, Reinventive's founder, Rick Norton, has primarily focused on providing real estate solutions to mission-based endeavors, having led teams on nonprofit projects & clients as an advisor, developer, and contractor for some of the world's top real estate and financial firms, as well as with development & financing organizations that are deeply entrenched in the welfare of their communities. Prior to 2007, Mr. Norton managed advisory and development projects for several entities, including American Express, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Pulte Homes and Weyerhaeuser Real Estate. Mr. Norton possesses extensive experience in financial modeling, acquisitions, community & stakeholder integration, and adaptive reuse efforts across all major property types, with total experience on real estate projects valued at over $7 billion. Mr. Norton has extensive experience with all levels of real estate financing & development, ranging from credit-rated Wall Street-level asset securitization to Low-Income Housing Tax Credit developments, across every region of the United States.
Mr. Norton holds a Master of Planning from the University of Southern California, an MBA from the University of Chicago, and an Undergraduate degree in Construction Management from Purdue University, winning top academic and civic performance awards at each level.
The success of Reinventive is not dependent on its in-house team and leadership alone. Independent professional partners play an enormous role in the execution of Reinventive's business strategy, where Reinventive continues to demand partnership with top-performing professionals across the development team, ranging from design to legal to sales & marketing. An integral part of Reinventive's business practice is to keep its business lean through the careful curation & utilization of high-quality professionals across the development team. The Chicago team, which includes an attorney with over 40 years' experience, the #1 residential brokerage firm in the region, and a design team with numerous awards and a superlative eye for detail, does not disappoint.
